I guess writing a blog post was very healing for me, because the next day I felt better. Then I found a great idea for my next step: one-time boxes ideal for gift-giving. It'll be a great way to test out my ideas without launching the subscription box prematurely. It feels like something I can handle right now. I felt a little more energetic and inspired again. More like my regular self. I even worked on the website a little today, so I'm making baby steps.
There's definitely power in maintaining a positive mindset, even when I'm feeling heartbroken. I used to have a very negative mindset, and a pessimistic outlook would almost guarantee that I would pass up numerous opportunities. A positive mindset isn't necessarily delusional or toxic; it's about opening yourself up to possibilities. You can't unlock any doors unless you try using the key first. A positive mindset changed my thought process to go from blaming and doubt (such as "It's never going to happen because...") to curiosity and problem-solving (like "How can we make it happen?").
