For weeks I've been pushing to finish all the art for the tattoos (front and back sides) since they need time to get produced. I finally got them 100% ready, I have enough cash to invest, yet I'm terrified. Is this fear of success? Perhaps it's disguised as fear of failure?
I've heard before that "F.E.A.R." means "false evidence appearing real", but it doesn't make it any easier to overcome. Emotions can be very irrational. There's not really anything to fear in this case.
After letting it stew in the back of my mind for several days, I did get a few more ideas to improve the product designs, so I'm glad I gave it a little more time. I submitted the order and final art files to my manufacturer in California, and I realized that it was almost exactly 8 years since the day I did the same thing for the very first product! Just one day off. I definitely did not plan that. Also, I can't believe that it has already been 8 years.
I'm really proud of what I've done in that time. I made a lot of mistakes, including trying to do multiple other things like live streaming games, another themed web store, and selling artwork. I thought that doing all these things would grow each other, but I think it only thinned me out. There was a lot of stress I was dealing with too, so putting extra stress on me definitely did not help. I quit everything, and that allowed me to reflect and gather strength. Now I'm going all in with Fete la Tete, and I have a lot of confidence in its success!
